Foster Care Services

The Foster Care program at EVOLVE works to find and prepare families who are willing and able to provide a nurturing environment for children who have experienced significant trauma, usually between the ages of 7 and 18 years old.

Foster parents play a vital role by providing love, care and additional support to help children heal and grow. They create a welcoming home for children that need stability, security and safety to succeed.

Foster parents provide a safe, supportive environment while helping children stay connected to their communities and birth families until reunification or another form of permanency is achieved.

Clients will work closely with our Foster Care Process Coordinator and Foster Care Family Worker for guidance and support in completing the process.

Licensed caregivers provide short-term care, allowing primary caregivers time to rest or manage family emergencies. This arrangement offers critical support to children without requiring a long-term commitment.

EVOLVE values kinship care which prioritizes children being placed with relatives/kin, while efforts towards reunification are being made.

Children come into care in need of this kind of placement due do placement disruption or removal and no known relatives or kin at the time of placement need.
