This application is open to adults 18+ who are looking to help out and make a difference in the community. Once you submit this application, your application will be reviewed, and we will reach out for a background check. Crew Leads will be contracted by UMOJA MN & EVOLVE Family Services. 

Crew Leads - Leads the classroom by teaching the curriculum, facilitating activities, and classroom management.

Classroom Assistant - Supports the Crew Lead by helping with curriculum, classroom activities, and camper needs

Volunteer -Assists in various camp areas, including administrative tasks, set‑up/clean‑up, and filling in with classroom support when needed.

About UMOJA MN Black Heritage Camp

This camp will focus on Black Heritage, growth, cultural storytelling, goal setting, affirmations, and personal stories. Our comprehensive camp weekend experiences feature tailored programming for children and adults, including cultural celebrations and practical guidance on skin and hair care. UMOJA MN is a valuable resource for Black youth who have been adopted, fostered, or are in kinship care, as well as their families in Minnesota.

Compensation: There is a stipend of $300 for all Crew Leaders for the event. New Crew Leaders will receive a $100 stipend for attending the "New Crew Leaders Orientation."
